Our lead executive, Trevor Hall, is a husband, father of three children, and has over 30 years of experience in the industry, and therefore has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of infrastructure and construction and has learnt a thing or two about negotiating for the best possible outcomes.
After completing his studies in Civil Engineering at the University of Technology in Sydney, Trevor began his career working for Clients on social infrastructure projects, then a stint with a developer before finding his calling with a construction career commencing with Abigroup in Brisbane.
As a country boy, Trevor always had a passion for building teams and taking on the challenge of delivering a diverse range of regional and remote projects in locations across Australia, from Lakeland in FNQ (west of Cooktown) to Hobart in Tasmania.
He always pursues the next challenge with a passion for learning and developing.
In the late 1990’s Trevor was an industry pioneer of being vulnerable and sharing a mix of safety stories with construction teams, with the intent seeking to influence at least one person in the audience to change their personal behaviours for the better. Trevor’s leadership style seeks to enrol the team by being genuine with emotions, demonstrating what really matters, because it’s evident.
Trevor has had the privilege to either establish or substantially grow four businesses for multinational organisations. Most recently, as the EGM, he led the evolution of a diverse Infrastructure, Rail, Building, and Utility $500m p/a business to a $2bn pa business in a period of three years. This growth was achieved while exceeding all other key performance indicators associated with people, clients, and profitability.
During his professional journey, Trevor has demonstrated a skill associated with running with enthusiasm towards significant issues and seeking to identify and implement the win/win strategy. Some suggest this is a risky career approach, but Trevor suggests it hone’s the leadership traits of being calm in the face of adversity, developing and fine tuning your strategy, being a master at the art of being agile and knowing when to pivot, all the while being able to see through the fog of issues and identify the elements that really make the impact. There is also possibly an element of adrenalin associated with being involved in constantly looking to lift the bar.
Whilst the infrastructure is exciting, Trevor's passion relates to developing amazing teams and is committed to developing the next generation of leaders in the field. He brings to the business a combination of best practice governance from his 30 years of industry experience, in addition to his knowledge as a Graduate of the Company Directors course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Trevor is also a Fellow of Engineers Australia and has held numerous industry Board positions such as Chair of Building Employees Redundancy Trust (BERT), Chair of BERT Training Qld, President of the Qld Major Contractors Association, and more recently Chair of Victorian Major Infrastructure Construction Forum.
In addition to his professional work, Trevor is actively involved in philanthropic community activities, currently serving as the Chair of the Ambassadors for WaterAid Charity and is also a keen cyclist. We are proud to have Trevor as our lead executive and look forward to sharing his expertise with our team and clients.
